Writer's Thought #5

My friend read one of my rewrites - the first 5,000 words - which is what Amazon's Breakthrough Novel Award reads to determine whether or not you get to move on to the quarter finals, and she said she really liked it!!  I'm so excited.  I'm so motivated to keep on working on the next few chapters.  My friend made it to the quarter finals in this year's ABNA 2010 award.  She is an awesome writer and I totally value her opinion!!

  1. Haha, I love your blog so far! I started a writing one too, though I have not gotten very far on it yet, I've been too busy with Bonnets and Broadswords, not to mention my newest novel! :) but I will enjoy reading your blog. (The template it really cool by the way, I really need to jazz mine up a bit with some pictures.)

  2. Thank you, Hazel. I really appreciate it! Good luck with your next novel. Keep a bee in your bonnet and never let them see anything but the shiny side of your broadsword!

  3. Your first 5000 was awesome! Isn't it fun to rewrite and work with our writing until it shines like Hazel West's broadsword?
